I like and enjoy group classes but love the 1-2-1 sessions! I’m fortunate to work with some of the best mums in the world at my group and 1-2-1 sessions and although group session are super fun and involve lots of group chats, I love individual sessions as I can really meet the person and get to know her and what she wants to accomplish in life.
I think its down to the personal touch that I like to include in my work. During group classes I do as much as I can to correct the postures while exercise, to remind about the breathing, to encourage participants to take an affirmation as a guide during classes and why it’s beneficial, to talk about fitness goals and how to get there, etc. Therefore, I’m not sad or discourage when there is only one person at my class because then I can put in much, much more. I can focus on the person and give it all to her.
I also love 1-2-1 as I had so many empowering conversations during the sessions, not only about fitness and exercises but about life, dreams, friendship, support, leadership and so on. I really like that we have the time and space to talk about these subjects and focus on us.
